Description of the position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Strategy & Architecture team. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Microsoft Azure and consulting experience to design, develop, and deploy cloud solutions that meet our clients’ strategic objectives. This role requires strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures primarily on Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical consulting and advisory services on cloud strategy, migration, and optimisation.
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) templates and automate cloud deployment processes.
  • Support cloud governance, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in workshops, presentations, and client meetings to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 8 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture principles.
  • Proven consulting experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Proficient in professional English and fluent in either Dutch or French.
  • Understanding of cloud security, networking, and automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.

Preferred qualifications
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
