Your journey with us

  • Engage with (utility) companies and (governmental) institutions on their vision to enable the energy & climate transition
  • Investigate how companies can adapt their business models to the energy transition. Help utility companies implement new market and business models and redesign their processes
  • Contribute to the Deloitte Belgium strategy regarding energy- and climate transition. Assist in the go-to-market of the energy- and climate transition services and interact with other Deloitte entities worldwide to export the team expertise.
  • Use and sharpen your analytical skills every day. Make the bridge with colleagues from our Data Science department in case complex analysis of data is required
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team on projects with a distinct interest for market, business- and operating models and business processes
  • Excel by delivering qualitative results and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Develop a number of soft skills such as project management, coaching, report writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Get great opportunities for international travelling, participation in learning and training programs specifically tailored to your needs and interests
  • Get your innovative ideas onto a concrete track towards implementation

Let’s talk about you

  • Master in a relevant field like business, civil or industrial engineering (e.g. but not limited to electricity), bio-engineering or applied science – graduate degree in energy system modelling, economics, resource management, and related fields is an asset.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following energy sector disciplines: renewable energy -, electricity market design, flexibility and balancing markets, power purchase agreements, BESS, hydrogen and other green molecules, electrification (such as heat pump and EV), Belgian utilities sector and markets, energy economics, climate policies and knowledge of environmental impact assessments (such as climate risk and adaptation), water and sewage.
  • Hands-on person, pro-active, result-oriented and quality-driven
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – experience or formal education in programming such as python or similar languages is an asset.
  • Keen on daily interaction and close collaboration with the client
  • Strong communicator and team player, but can also work independently
  • Adapt yourself easily to changing circumstances as you will face new challenges every day
  • Willing to travel, although the largest part of our projects takes place in Belgium, occasional travel can occur
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
