Your journey with us
As a Resilience professional, you will be part of Deloitte’s subject matter expert group helping clients to prepare for and successfully navigate through disruptions and crises. 
You will utilise your expertise in delivering challenging projects to our client base, aiming to improve maturity in the areas of resilience including but not limited to business continuity management, crisis management and recovery. 
You will also partake in business development activities, enhancing our Resilience propositions and building new client relationships. 

Your tasks will consist in:
  • Assist clients in raising their operational resilience and the importance of well-tested business continuity and disaster recovery plans. 
  • Support clients in preparing for (= Readiness phase), responding to (=Response phase) and recovering and emerging stronger from (=Recovery phase) disruptive events. 
  • During the Readiness phase: Identify vulnerabilities, single points of failure and help companies in developing mitigation strategies for key risks. Define recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives for the different processes and systems in scope. Draft resilience strategies and plans together with our clients. These plans can include but are not limited to Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP). Determine adequate incident response and crisis management structures, including Cyber Incident Response Plans (CIRP), Crisis Management Plan (CMP) and communication guidelines as required. Review and assess existing plans and identify opportunities for improvement (from a technology point of view, governance point of view, process point of view business-IT alignment, etc.). Prepare, facilitate and evaluate (table top) exercises in order to enhance the preparedness of an organization to deal with disruptive events.
  • During the Response phase: Support clients in the aftermath of a crisis by providing real-life crisis management support (e.g. support to the crisis management team, working with recovery teams, ensuring adequate crisis communication).
  • During the Recovery phase: Evaluate to what extent the client’s response was appropriate and define areas of improvement where needed.
  • Follow-up on evolutions in the field of risk and resilience, including the regulatory landscape, and develop and share your knowledge.
  • Support business development in the field of risk and resilience. 



Let’s talk about you
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in relevant domains (such as risk management, business continuity management or crisis management, disaster recovery, (IT) resilience) in a client facing or large-scale organization. Experience in assessing risks and defining mitigating measures and response actions.
  • Good knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles. Familiarity with Critical Entities Resilience (CER), Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA), ISO22301, ISO22361 or ISO27031 is a plus.
  • A strong personal desire to be a vital part in helping clients to prepare for and navigate successfully through crisis situations and continuously enhance their operational resilience. Good business and process analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience in organizing workshops and regular interactions with stakeholders at different levels. Additional experience in participating in or leading projects to meet client expectations within budget and on time. 
  • Like to work in teams, are creative and willing to learn and develop new skills. Flexible and easy to adapt in new / changing situations.
  • A strong interest to learn, grow and broaden your experience in the fields of risk and resilience. 
  • Strong communicator with fluent language skills in English, Dutch and/or French.
