This is your opportunity to join Deloitte’s fast growing Debt & Capital Advisory (DCA) team as a Director or Senior Manager. 

You will work in a team that specializes in providing unique and independent debt & capital advice on the wide range of complex and strategic financing goals of our clients in the real estate and property sector. Your role within this team is to help grow our Real Estate debt & capital advisory business which is seeing tremendous growth in the current market context.

In your job you will assist real estate clients (e.g. developers, investors, private equity, construction companies or even corporates) achieve their funding goals, through a wide range of debt engagements including i.a. advise on optimal capital structures, funding diversification, development financing, real estate fund financing, acquisition financing, leasing and propco/opco structures. You will maintain and manage constant interaction with our real estate clients, banks, other real estate lenders & debt funds and their advisors. 

As an experienced team member, you will be actively involved in our business development efforts of growing the real estate debt advisory business. Additionally, together with the respective deal team, you will be responsible for the execution and implementation of projects. You will work closely with your direct colleagues of DCA in Belgium and the Netherlands; and with our growing real estate debt advisory colleagues within Deloitte’s global Debt & Capital Advisory network. 

How will you daily activities look like?

  • You will develop, originate and execute Real Estate related debt advisory transactions through own industry, company, transaction research as well as leveraging both existing (client) relationships and Deloitte’s broad Real Estate sector client network.
  • You will work on a wide range of debt advisory projects, mainly focused on real estate developers, investors , Private Equity, construction companies or even corporates while developing your own network of clients in the real estate sector, banks, funders, investors and advisors.
  • You will be responsible for the daily project management and assist among others with preparation of information packs, management presentations, financial analyses and client communications.
  • You will work closely together with junior team members whom you will steer and coach during transactions.
  • You will play a client-facing role from origination to deal execution and closing.
  • You will play an important role in the development of the DCA department and take ownership of targeted development and accelerated growth initiatives.
  • You will bring eminence to the market both with technical knowledge and with views and perspective of debt market trends.

A clear development track will be developed together with you in order to facilitate your progress within our growing debt advisory practice.


Let’s talk about you

  • You hold a master's degree and have at least 8 years of relevant (transactional) experience in real estate debt financing with a bank, an international consulting firm, a real estate broker, a property investor, a developer or can demonstrate equivalent experience;
  • You have a sound commercial acumen and understanding of Belgian and international financial markets and debt-related products relevant for real estate lending
  • You have the right mindset, a consulting and entrepreneurial approach aiming to generate impacts that matter together with a team, strong technical skills, solutions oriented, client focused, dynamic, result minded and resourceful;
  • You have proven project management, people management and organizational skills.
  • You have a strong appetite to be involved in business development activities and are a dedicated team player with excellent communication skills. 
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
