Deloitte is seeking an EU Public Affairs senior consultant, to work on EU policy matters that impact its activities, including in the areas of audit, corporate reporting and financial services. The position will be based in the Deloitte EU Policy Centre in Brussels.
As part of the EU Policy Centre Team, you will be working with a team of colleagues from different firms in Europe supporting policy and strategy leadership across Europe. 

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring and analyzing relevant EU policy and regulatory developments and sharing these with the network, focusing on risks and opportunities for Deloitte
  • Helping research and develop public policy positions (drafting position papers, recommendations on EU legislative proposals and briefings for internal and external distribution)
  • Working with policy teams on internal and external communication on policy matters
  • Stakeholder management and helping build a network of policy contacts in Brussels

Let's talk about you

Qualifications
  • You have around 3-5 years of relevant experience in the area of financial services and/or an EU Institution, an EU public affairs consultancy or EU public affairs team of an NGO, corporate, business association or law firm or equivalent
  • Degree in political science, law, economics or a related field, or equivalent
Experience & Key Skills
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, global team environment
  • Research, data analysis and presentation creation skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills in English, any other languages spoken in the EU are a very nice addition
  • Knowledge of professional use of social media channels is also an advantage
