The IT Application Compliance and Methodology Manager is responsible for ensuring that all IT applications within the organisation adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance frameworks, methodologies, and processes to ensure the integrity, security, and efficiency of IT applications. The manager will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in application management practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management:
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks and methodologies for IT applications.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT applications to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Methodology Development:
  • Design and implement best practice methodologies for application development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards for IT application processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to IT teams on compliance and methodology best practices.
Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of compliance and methodology specialists.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure team objectives are met.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Risk Management:
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with IT applications.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Monitor and report on compliance and risk management activities to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application compliance and methodology.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in IT compliance and application management.
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of compliance processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT, legal, audit, and business teams to ensure alignment on compliance and methodology objectives.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to ensure cohesive compliance strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on compliance status and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT compliance, risk management, or application management.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting audits and assessments of IT applications.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools and software.
