We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team as a trusted technical advisor. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our clients' cloud transformations and bridging the gap between their business aspirations and technical execution on the Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services platform. You will take a hands-on approach to translating a client’s business vision into a secure, scalable, and future-proof architecture and will create the roadmap for its implementation.  
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions, acting as a subject matter expert for our clients; 
  • Work collaboratively within integrated, cross-functional teams to understand client needs and translate them into technical specifications and actionable implementation roadmaps; 
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality delivery; 
  • Effectively communicate complex cloud concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; and 
  • Drive the adoption of modern cloud engineering principles by architecting and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure secure, automated, and repeatable deployments. 
Let's talk about you

Tech skills 
  • 3 - 4 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing solutions on the Azure or AWS platform; 
  • A deep understanding of cloud principles, demonstrating the ability to advise on architectural trade-offs and design cloud-native solutions that align with business objectives; 
  • Relevant associate-level Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) or AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer (Associate). Expert-level certifications, such as the Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) are a big plus; 
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement production-ready solutions by selecting and leveraging appropriate core cloud services, e.g. (Virtual Machines, App Services, App Runner), Networking (VNETs, VPCs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway), Storage (Blob Storage, Azure Files, AWS S3, AWS EFS), and Identity, (Entra, IAM); 
  • Proven proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the provisioning and management of cloud environments (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates); 
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Azure PowerShell or Azure/AWS CLI (or equivalent); 
  • Hands-on experience architecting and implementing CI/CD pipelines using major platforms (such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins); 
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection across major cloud platforms; and 
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and managed Kubernetes services (such as EKS, AKS, or GKE) is a plus. 

Soft skills 
  • Relevant consulting or industry experience; 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in small to medium-sized teams (2–20 people) to deliver high-quality, aligned outcomes; 
  • A demonstrated passion for mentorship, with experience coaching and developing junior colleagues to elevate team performance and skills; 
  • Strong presentation skills with a focus on explaining deep technical topics to senior business stakeholders (e.g., Sr. Directors, Vice Presidents, C-suite, ...); 
  • Masters degree in relevant field (Computer Science Engineering, Industrial Engineering IT, Applied Informatics, Business Engineering, Information Management, ...); and 
  • Fluent in English, plus full professional proficiency in French or Dutch.
