Your journey with us

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Employment Tax Consultant with experience or interest in payroll tax incentives

• You are responsible for a variety of client assignments and projects as well as dealing with ad hoc queries, often providing expertise in a multidisciplinary environment (including wage withholding tax exemptions, social security reductions, tax rulings, tax claims, broader consultancy, advisory or project management)

• You defend our client’s interest during tax audits in high-stake tax audits. This involves reviewing documentation, identifying the risks and strategic options, preparing the defense, negotiating with the tax authorities, and providing expert guidance throughout the audit process (and when needed propose remediating actions and assist them in the implementation thereof).

• You are part of a client service team dedicated to delivering integrated, multidisciplinary HR & Reward solutions to both large multinational and local clients

• You execute the projects in accordance with the clients specifications, the agreed contract, program schedule and Deloitte’s highest quality standards and client service mindset

• You are the first point of contact for the client, the Deloitte network and the project team

• You contribute to business development activities, planning and executing targeted actions and eminence program (facilitation of seminars, development of brochures, articles, roadshow, etc.)


Let’s talk about you

• You are a client-oriented team player eager to develop project- and stakeholder management skills and facilitation competencies

• You have relevant experience (minimum of 2 to 5 years) with employment tax, either as a (tax) consultant or as a (tax) lawyer. Project management experience in high stake tax audits is a plus but not required.

• You are eager to learn and solve complex (international) tax queries regarding employer tax matters. Interest in corporate tax, social law or finance is a plus

• You have a positive attitude and can maintain focus and productivity even in stressful situations (e.g. tax audits)

• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances

• You have a proactive attitude and take initiative to identify and solve problems

• You are proficient in Excel and you understand that to defend our client’s interest, in-depth data analysis is sometimes required

• You can work collaboratively with others and you are eager to train and assist more junior staff.

• You have an open, creative, enthusiastic and flexible mindset

• You communicate fluently in French and English, both verbally and in writing, and have a good knowledge of Dutch

• You are willing to invest in a work environment full of opportunities
