Join our Business & Commercial Law team and help us make a real impact on the thriving Belgian tech ecosystem (with a focus on East and West Flanders, and the North of Brussels).

As a Legal Consultant, you’ll:
  • Support tech start-ups and scale-ups: Provide practical, pragmatic advice to local and international innovators tackling complex legal challenges.
  • Draft and review critical documents: Work on partnership agreements, terms of use, license agreements, privacy procedures, SLAs, trademark registrations, and more to enable clients' growth and innovation.
  • Shape your focus area and keep abreast of legal and technological developments: Develop expertise in areas like IP/IT law, GDPR, medical device compliance, while staying updated on GenAI, DORA, NIS2, Cloud, SaaS, and GDPR to provide cutting-edge advice and solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients: Work side-by-side with innovative businesses to implement policies, negotiate agreements, and find solutions to disputes with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Work in a dynamic environment: Contribute to the success of multidisciplinary teams, partnering with tax specialists, accountants, strategic advisors, M&A experts, and IT consultants.
  • Engage with the ecosystem: Build relationships with founders and investors, and create opportunities for collaboration and growth.
  • Support business development initiatives: Research new regulations and trends, assist in marketing legal services, and contribute to workshops, seminars, and thought leadership articles.

• You hold a Belgian master’s degree in law (an advanced master’s is a plus) and are ready to apply your expertise to practical and impactful client work.
• You possess solid technical legal knowledge with at least 1 year of relevant experience as a lawyer, in-house legal counsel, or legal consultant.
• You’re a fast learner and change agent, eager to adapt quickly and lead innovative approaches to solving complex legal challenges.
• You have a startup mentality and excel in the design-build-operate mindset, contributing from strategy to hands-on execution.
• You thrive as a natural connector, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
• You are hands-on and proactive, with a down-to-earth approach that turns challenges into opportunities.
• You’re strategic and innovative, applying creative solutions and forward-thinking strategies to deliver real impact for clients.
• You are communicative and assertive, thriving in a dynamic, multidisciplinary and collaborative team environment.
• You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English (French is a plus), enabling you to effectively communicate in a multicultural and multilingual setting.
• You actively challenge yourself to stay updated on technological and regulatory-related trends and developments.
• You are intrigued by business development and engaging in networking within the ecosystem, attending events, and giving workshops, and/or seminars.
