Our Valuation & Modeling team is currently looking for a Manager Valuation & Modeling to join us.

Our valuations team provides insight into the purchase or sale of a company, or during a financial or tax restructuring. Additionally, we conduct value analyses for shareholder and commercial disputes and issues related to financial reporting. Our clients are increasingly focusing on analysing and quantifying business plans and investment decisions: is the business case sustainable, what is the financing requirement, and what options do we have to cover it? In all cases, you work with the team to understand the activities, financial performance, and key drivers of an (existing or future) business, and translate those insights into well-founded financial analyses. 

As a Manager, you are part of a close-knit and committed team that focuses on complex valuation issues and the analysis and quantification of business plans, investment decisions, and financing structures. You will have room for professional development, work closely with colleagues within Deloitte M&A, and have frequent contact with senior clients and stakeholders. 

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead project teams and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. 
  • Execute assignments with insightful reports and robust financial models as deliverables.
  • Explain valuation reports and business plans to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain client relationships, draft proposals, and acquire new assignments.
  • Collaborate with other M&A teams within Deloitte on joint assignments.
  • Challenge information provided by clients and analyses performed by team members.
  • Assess and review the work of junior team members and providing 'on-the-job' coaching.
  • Develop your expertise in a specialization and build your reputation as a business advisor.
  • Contribute to practice growth and development.
  • Independently manage multiple simultaneous assignments, including budget monitoring and invoicing.
  • Coordinate with partners, directors and other (senior) managers regarding resource needs and planning.

Let's talk about you
  • You have 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a client-focused role, such as valuations, corporate finance, private equity, strategy, financial modeling, or project finance. Being enrolled in or having completed the CFA program is a plus.
  • Solid general financial knowledge and understanding of value creation, investment analysis and business models.
  • You also have strong analytical skills and are accurate, result-oriented, with an eye for quality and able to recognize your clients’ needs.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint (clear visualisation of complex outcomes) and Excel (modeling and analysing), with experience in AI Prompting/Building Agents, VBA, Python, Alteryx or Power BI considered a strong plus.
  • You think in solutions, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and have a genuine interest in complex issues.
  • You have solid writing and presentation skills as well as good communication skills, being able to persuade and influence.
  • You are a team player with a sense of responsibility.
  • You have the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent coaching skills and experience in managing people.
  • Excellent command of Dutch, French and English, both spoken and written.
