Your journey with us

Our Valuation & Modeling team is currently looking for a (Senior) Consultant Valuation and Modeling to join us.
You feel at home in a dynamic environment, are creative in your approach and thinking, and always deliver work of a high standard. You dare to be yourself and believe that only the best is good enough for our clients.
By joining our Valuation and Modeling team, you will learn how to support finance and corporate leaders make complex strategic investment decisions, analyse enterprise performance, develop financial business plans, and quantify the success of M&A deals and value creation initiatives. We bring in-depth corporate finance knowledge and experience, coupled with valuation expertise, financial modeling and analytics capabilities, to our clients’ most complex transactions, transformations, and corporate events around the globe.

Currently we are seeking expansion of our team focusing on modeling and data analytics solutions. Our modeling and analytics team advises multinationals, SMEs, and private equity firms on matters concerning M&A processes, turnaround, and restructurings. As part of the team, you will be involved in creating analyses and visualisations (dashboarding) using advanced tools, processing large amounts of data. You will structure and transform data to perform the right analyses and get to the core of an issue. This can be across a wide range of areas, for example, customer churn of an M&A target, inventory optimisations, or commercial synergies between two companies. You will be a crucial link between the client and Deloitte and will collaborate across disciplines with other Deloitte service lines.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Analyse client data and translate it into easy-to-understand graphics.
  • Group, structure, transform, and analyse (large) datasets using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Visualise and create dashboards and interactive reports.
  • Optimise and/or accelerate our analyses by developing tooling with your data analytics skills.
  • Advise clients on the implementation of analytics tooling and provide support for this.

What will your daily activities look like?
  • You'll be working on valuation/modelling/analytics projects, generally with one staff member for each project or more for bigger projects, working in close collaboration with more senior people in the team, colleagues within Deloitte M&A, and having frequent contact with senior clients and stakeholders. Assignments generally run for approximately 2 to 6 weeks, implying plenty of variety.
  • Apply large data-driven models to identify value-driving factors as well as financial and business risks, particularly regarding enterprise value and the sustainability of business models.
  • Deliver exceptional client service, maximise results and foster collaboration across businesses and borders.
  • Influence clients and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing strong relationships with increasingly senior people.
  • You will engage in business development internally (e.g. development of new tools, models) and externally (e.g. proposals, thought leadership, and client relationships) with the support of  senior people in the team.
  • Develop and apply new technologies in the M&A analytics landscape, as well as support in improving internal processes and expanding the analytics toolkit.
Let's talk about you
  • A relevant Master's degree in econometrics, data analytics, business analytics, or a related field with strong analytical focus.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in strategic & financial consultancy, private equity, banking, or corporate finance.
  • Enrollment in or completion of the CFA programme is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in areas such as M&A, Corporate Finance, Due Diligence, external accounting, bookkeeping, controlling or auditing.
  • You enjoy thoroughly reading and interpreting financial data.
  • Advanced technical skills in:
    • Data analytics (R, Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau).
    • Excel (including VBA).
    • Data visualisation and dashboard creation.
  • You are a driven team player and you dare to speak your mind.
  • You have solid writing and presentation skills as well as good communication skills, being able to persuade and influence.

  • You have the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent command of Dutch, French and English, both spoken and written.
