To further strengthen the Accounting & Reporting Assurance team, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced senior professional who wants to further expand his/her existing audit and accounting knowledge on exciting International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) / International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) advisory projects that add great value to international groups and organizations.

In this role, you will participate in a broad range of Advisory Services to our clients such as ad hoc technical accounting advice, supporting in the implementation of new accounting reporting standards (IFRS/ IPSAS, US GAAP), provide accounting advice in the context of M&A transactions or finance transformation projects, tax accounting services, prepare or convert financial statements, etc.

Let's talk about you

Key responsibilities:

• Executing a wide range of Accounting & Reporting Assurance projects, which can be both in public and private sector.
• Preparing and delivering high-quality presentations, reports and memorandums to the client teams.
• Designing training and workshops for both internal employees and external clients on any Accounting-related topic.
• Investing time and staying up to date with recent developments and amendments to accounting standards by attending training and/or updates and by following on newly issued IFRS/IPSAS, US GAAP materials.
• Assisting in the preparation of proposals.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in auditing, preparing or analyzing IFRS/IPSAS/US GAAP financial statements. 
• Good knowledge of IFRS/IPSAS/US GAAP requirements and strong motivation to further improve your technical knowledge in this area.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and French or Dutch.

What are the "nice to have" skills to get even faster up to speed in this role:

• Good knowledge of the other national language (Dutch or French).
• Knowledge of and/or interested for accounting, reporting or consolidation tools.
