This is your opportunity to join our Deloitte Corporate Finance Advisory team as a (Senior)Consultant

  • As a (Senior) Consultant, you play a crucial role in the execution of M&A lead advisory projects including sale mandates, acquisition mandates, management buy-outs, as well as other corporate finance advisory assignments. 
  • Your role is to help clients achieve their transactional objectives, through a thorough preparation of transaction deliverables, processes and strong deal execution skills. 
  • You work closely with a team of corporate finance Managers and Directors on complex and strategic transactions and have direct exposure to a wide range of clients, from entrepreneurial, owner-managed businesses to private equity companies. 
  • In addition to the above, you have an important role to play in supporting the business development of the CFA team by gaining in-depth knowledge in a sector, region or service.

How will you daily activities look like?

  • You work on the preparation of key deliverables such as: information memoranda, management presentations, valuation exercises, financial models,  sector and buyer research.
  • You have first line, client facing involvement  on a wide range of corporate finance advisory engagements, and will play an important role in their daily execution.
  • Together with the team and with the support of Business Analysts, you perform Industry, Company and Transaction analysis and research.
  • You build on your technical competences and understanding of the M&A market in order to identify M&A trends, identify suitable target companies and support the preparation of pitches for clients and prospects.
  • You play an important role in the functioning of the CFA department by supporting Managers and Directors while guiding Business Analysts in technical exercises and strategic matters.
Let's talk about you
  • You hold a university degree.
  • You ideally have 2-4 years of relevant transactional experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Banking or within an international M&A environment of a reputable company. 
  • You have strong analytical, technical and report writing skills, are result-oriented, with attention to detail and quality when delivering results under time pressure.
  • You have a sound commercial acumen and understanding of Belgian and international M&A markets.
  • You are self-confident with a strong appetite to be closely involved in M&A transactions.
  • You are a dedicated & motivated team player with very good communication skills.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other related PC-applications. 
  • You are native in Dutch or French and have outstanding English report writing skills.
