Your journey with us

As a Senior Consultant in the Digital Policy team, you will take on a pivotal role in managing projects aimed at delivering high-quality policy services to the EU Institutions, with a particular focus on the European Commission. Our daily work involves providing strategic insights and foresight analysis to aid decision-makers in identifying policy solutions to specific challenges and issues within the digital policy landscape. Through feasibility studies, we evaluate the practicality and credibility of proposed digital projects or policy options at the European level, taking into account legal, economic, societal, political, and technological factors. Additionally, we gather information on the performance of digital measures during implementation, offering a comprehensive overview of lessons learned and tailored recommendations to empower policymakers in making well-informed improvements.

• Contribute to the oversight of complex projects related to digitisation, leading project activities, implementing methodologies, and delivering evidence-based results punctually and to the satisfaction of our clients;
• Actively engage in the design and execution of the team's core services, including strategic analyses, impact assessments, ex-ante/ex-post evaluations etc., aligning with the European Commission’s Better Regulation guidelines;
• Efficiently coordinate multiple work streams and teams simultaneously, ensuring effective organisation and prioritisation to meet demanding deadlines. This encompasses supervising and navigating the work of junior colleagues;
• Cultivate relationships and facilitate seamless internal and external communication; establish connections with clients and relevant stakeholders (e.g. colleagues from other sectors, partner organisations);
• Contribute to the expansion of our business by identifying opportunities and taking a leading role, particularly through securing projects through EU tenders;
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team to further develop a competitive, top-tier European digital policy team and extend our portfolio; this involves coaching and guiding junior colleagues, as well as assessing progress, monitoring capacity, and assigning tasks;

Let's talk about you

  • Extensive 3-5 years of experience in digital policy analysis and strategic studies, ideally within European institutions or consultancy, demonstrating a deep understanding of EU policymaking processes;
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality policy services to EU bodies and institutions, with a strong grasp of the European Commission's Better Regulation Strategy and its principles;
  • Demonstrated ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision, exhibiting a high level of confidence and proficiency in independent work;
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal, refined through previous work experience, enabling effective collaboration in a multilingual and multicultural environment;
  • Experience in coaching junior staff, coordinating desk research campaigns, data analysis activities, and stakeholder consultations, showcasing a proactive problem-solving attitude;
  • A relevant master’s degree, underpinning a strong academic foundation in the field.
