Description of the position

Your journey with us

As a world-leading professional services firm, Deloitte’s Global Employer Services (GES) team offers innovative solutions that help our clients navigate the evolving reward landscape in a tailor-made and results-oriented way. From developing rewards strategies to implementing cutting-edge solutions, we bring together the right mix of expertise—covering everything from reward design, job architecture, tax & legal, analytics, employee communication, to technology and processes.

We are expanding our Reward practice to meet the rapidly growing demand from clients who need to adapt their reward structures to new pay equity and transparency legislation—particularly the EU Pay Transparency Directive.

We are looking for a Total Reward Consultant with a strong focus on job architecture, job levelling and compensation structures to help clients build solid foundations for fair, competitive and future-proof reward frameworks.

Role Summary:

In today’s reward landscape, job architecture and transparent pay structures are no longer optional—they are business-critical. With the EU Pay Transparency Directive and similar legislation reshaping the market, Deloitte helps clients design reward strategies that drive both compliance and competitiveness.

As a Consultant in our multidisciplinary GES Reward team—which combines expertise in job grading, analytics, tax & social security, employment law, compensation, benefits, processes and reward technology—you will work with leading organizations to translate regulatory requirements and business priorities into practical solutions. You will help clients achieve reward structures that are transparent, equitable and strategically aligned.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Architecture & Compensation Design

  • Support clients in designing and implementing robust job architectures and job levelling frameworks.
  • Develop and optimize compensation structures (salary ranges, pay grades, variable pay programs) aligned with business and HR strategy.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.

Pay Transparency & Equity

  • Help clients prepare for the EU Pay Transparency Directive and other equity-focused legislation.
  • Assess existing structures, identify gaps and propose compliance-ready solutions.
  • Contribute to pay equity analyses and transparency reporting, leveraging data-driven insights.

Client Advisory & Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs and tailoring solutions.
  • Contribute to workshops and training sessions on job architecture, compensation and pay transparency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Deloitte to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.

Data & Insights

  • Use analytics and HRIS tools to evaluate the effectiveness of reward programs.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations that make complex data actionable for clients.
  • Leverage technology platforms to drive efficiency, accuracy and impact.

Let’s Talk About You

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in reward advisory or related roles.
  • Proven exposure to job architecture, job levelling and compensation structure design.
  • Experience at global reward consultancies or specialized local reward firms is highly valued.

Education

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Law, Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related field.

Languages

  • Fluency in English and one additional language (Dutch or French) is essential.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and French is a significant advantage.

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong analytical skills, including compensation benchmarking and job evaluation.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with HRIS or data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex reward concepts clearly.
  • Client-focused mindset, with the ability to translate regulatory and business needs into tailored solutions.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities and project management experience.
